I’ve lived on and off in the Dallas area for about sixteen years. In 2008, during the birthday of my son, Gabriel, the shopping experience here was great. As good as shopping at Urban market gets. It wasn’t until earlier this year that I realized how negative/draining the shopping experience here is. Everything small/big and worth something is locked up. Which wouldn’t be an issue if they had enough products out to available staff. Either wait 15-20 mins for smth or don’t get it. I was legit told they ran out of Cheerios because the manager told us it was enough. Grocery shopping at the urban market down the street makes more sense. If you’re buying over 20 items you’re ‘technically’ not allowed to self checkout. However, I’ve never seen more than 5 cashiers working at time. Lines always wrap into the clothing areas with customers that have their carts filled the the brim. Kroger and Tom Thumb are a bit more expensive but honestly, it seems worth it.
Staff is always the friendliest. This store is the best convenience for anyone who lives in the building. It has just about anything you need or might be missing for dinner. What else do you expect? You’re miserable, don’t live here, or both if you don’t rate 5 stars.
Get Mr. Philip to make you one of his toasted or no toasted sandwiches! The absolute best in Dallas. Sweet man and delicious sandwiches!
This store has a fantastic international foods section. I can find all the specific sauces and spices I need. The produce is always fresh, and the prices are very reasonable. It feels like a global market.
Whether you live in the building or nearby, a short walk to the market is worth it. Small, quiet, friendly as heck, clean, good prices and a selection of a little of everything you might need from batteries, umbrellas, greeting cards, drinks, ice cream, wine, produce etc. They have AMAZING made to order sandwiches, wraps, and salads in the deli area in the center of the small store.
This little shop has some of the best sandwiches in town, it's always a pleasure stopping by to grab a bite and just smell all of the deliciousness in the air,, only the best bread and meats for you to consume
